Terms of service

1. Purpose

PotatoCharge is a platform that connects individuals (hosts) who own a charger with electric vehicle drivers. The platform does not supply electricity itself: it facilitates booking, payment and communication between the two parties.

2. User account

Registration is free and restricted to adults. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your password.

3. Host obligations

As a host, you commit to:

• having the necessary authorisations to make your charger available (owner, co-ownership, lease)
• keeping your charger in working order
• honouring the published availability slots
• setting a fair and transparent price, shown to the driver before booking

4. Driver obligations

As a driver, you commit to:

• respecting the charger and the host's surroundings
• respecting booked slots and warning in case of delay
• providing a dashboard photo at the start and end of the session to justify consumption

5. Pricing and commission

The host freely sets their price per kWh. PotatoCharge takes a 20% commission on each successful session, which covers hosting, payments, insurance and support. The driver pays the displayed price; the commission is paid by the host.

6. Liability

PotatoCharge acts as a technical intermediary. We make every effort to guarantee service availability but cannot be held liable for material damage caused by a defective charger, which falls under the host's responsibility and their insurance.

7. Account suspension

We reserve the right to suspend any account in the event of serious breach of these terms, fraud, or abusive behaviour toward other users, with prior notice except in case of emergency.

8. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. In case of dispute, an amicable resolution will first be sought. Failing that, the courts of Brussels shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
